“The need has been established and accented by the numerous residents who have had to leave Banff at vulnerable times in their lives to find care with suitable accommodation," said Councillor Ted Christensen.

“We continue to approve these residential units out there, which I think is a fabulous use of space. I’ve called it the Bushwick of Banff before – it must be so cool to live in an industrial compound – but there are services that are likely lacking out there for the residents who are living there," said Mayor Corrie DiManno.

“I think we really need some good news… when you have a big vision and you are operating at the scale that wildlife needs, it does make a difference,” said Jodi Hilty, co-author of the paper and Y2Y’s chief scientist and president.

Canadian Pacific (CP) Rail’s 23rd annual Holiday Train will be hosted virtually again this year, considering ongoing government restrictions on public gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

An outdoor skating rink at the Fenlands expected to open this week, with plans for another outdoor ice surface moving forward at the train station in the New Year.
