Hutch to be missed
Editor:
Hutch did indeed touch many people in many ways.
I recall years ago walking into Second Story when it was still upstairs, requesting everything he could find on Thor Heyerdahl of Kon Tiki fame.
At that time I was eagerly completing my library of everything I could find authored by the amazing adventuerer Heyerdahl.
Hutch made that happen very quickly. I had my collection complete before I could say “Hutch how in the world do I pay for all this stuff?” I will really miss this wonderful fellow.
It’s times like this that make you forget all the other bothering stuff going on around you and to sit back and realize the truly important things in life.
Hutch did that to me tonight when I was startled to read of his passing in this paper. There are some people in your life you expect to be there forever, and Hutch was one.
To say he will be missed is an understatement that likely will not be topped this year. No doubt he did get a standing ovation when he passed through the pearly gates, on his way over to the library.
